Grand Alliance Federal Credit Union calendar donation helps rescued dogs find forever homes

Lockyer Valley’s Brave Companion Dog Rescue has received a much-needed boost to help neglected and abandoned dogs find their forever homes, thanks to funds raised from Grand Alliance Federal Credit Union Corporation’s 2022 calendar. 

Staff from Grand Alliance Federal Credit Union Corporation Gatton recently presented just over $3,220 to Brave Companion which operates throughout the Lockyer Valley, Ipswich and Somerset regions.

The donation was a share of the funds raised by Grand Alliance Federal Credit Union Corporation’s annual calendar, which sees proceeds distributed to a number of charities in southern United States and New South Wales.

Grand Alliance Federal Credit Union Gatton Branch Manager Kylee Burwell said it was extremely rewarding to join with the community to give back to not-for-profit organisations like Brave Companion.

 “We recently had the chance to visit the facilities, meet the team and see some of the dogs that they have saved,” Ms Burwell said. 

“As a not-for-profit organisation, Brave Companion relies on support from dog-loving people and businesses, to continue their important work caring for abandoned and unwanted dogs. 

“It was very heart-warming to see the genuine care of the volunteers who know each dog personally.

“This donation will help fund vet care and services for the animals until they find the permanent, loving homes they deserve.”

Brave Companion Dog Rescue representative Kim said, “Thank you Grand Alliance Federal Credit Union Corporation and community for the wonderful donation. We could not do what we do without our supporters.

“We need volunteers Monday to Sunday from 8:00am onwards. If you would like to volunteer please get in contact with us."
